Should you buy a WD hard drive or a second smartphone for data backup while traveling?
I'd like to back up data while traveling. I actually wanted to buy a WD hard drive. But it costs almost as much as a budget smartphone. So I thought I'd buy a second smartphone instead, but use it solely as a data storage device. What do you think?
Practical is a USB combination, which has just 2 USB ports and can then be plugged into the mobile phone with the normal A connection into each computer.
For example:

You will get an external disk much cheaper than a smartphone with the same storage capacity.
You didn’t say how much and from what device you want to save, but an SD card might be useful.
It’s just a few photos, text and PDF documents. But I’m afraid I’m losing SD card or USB stick. They should not be so sure about the durability. And I’m not an expert in data encryption. VeraCrypt guess some, others don’t. I have no idea how to install. Can’t focus at the moment and want it as easy as possible.
What is your budget and how much GB you want to save. If you don’t have a clue from verycrypt and don’t want to deal with it, I’d guess about it.
You asked for saving data. If you need help with your life, find someone else with a clue.
Why weird? You can make a counterproposal.
really weird. But question is answered.
I swear I speak the truth. I’m really burned down because I’ve never had a girlfriend in my life. That’s why I want to travel now.
My mind has developed back to the level of a toddler. I even forgot my password here for GF. Although I wanted to write an extra note for the password. But I forgot the writing.
just speier on a device that you already own.125mb should still be free.
are you serious?
So 55 EUR for a WD hard drive I can already guess. should be stored approx. 125 MB.
I’m really an amateur with all the EDV stuff. With the containers that are created there and so.
