On the 10th anniversary of Loriot's death – which of his classic sketches do you like best?
Ten years ago today, Loriot, one of the most versatile German humorists, died at the age of 87.
As a caricaturist, he has already created style-defining and humorous works in numerous books.
His later television work included numerous sketches, fragments of which, like words or sentences, have become part of the German language, as anyone with a grasp of German humor has probably heard phrases like " Krawehl, Krawehl!" , " There used to be more tinsel" or " A life without a pug is possible, but pointless." somewhere.
In his honor, we would like to know today which of his sketches is your favorite.
Of course, you can also name another sketch or several sketches by or with him.
Feel free to tell us which show you enjoyed watching Loriot in or which of his two films you prefer. And if you'd like, you can browse this playlist of videos from/about him.
The idea, the text including the selection of the quote on PS, the 6 sketches in the survey, the playlist and the picture come from our .
With best regards

PS: "Anyone who thinks humor consists of making fun of others hasn't understood humor. To be funny, you must, above all, put yourself at risk." – Loriot.
In any case, rest in peace.
My dear Loriot Sketch is Christmas at Hoppenstedts, as Vicco by Bülow shows so many comedian facets in this part of his television series Loriot from my point of view and this is then in perfection. I think that makes this episode a fireworks of comic entertainment.
Best regards
SANY3000
PS: Originally, the sketches are part of the 42 minutes 14. Follow the television series Loriot and were broadcast annually on Christmas at Hoppenstedts with a duration of 25 minutes from 1997 in a newly cut and shortened version under the title Christmas at Hoppenstedts. This new editing version ignores individual sketches and concentrates more on Christmas topics and the main history of the episode.
Like Loriot at least on his 10. Day of death continues to rest in peace:

Thank you for your detailed answer.
Very much.
My grandchild has everything it needs!
The quote is true. Everyone can take jokes about others, make people look after and pan out. However, only a few jokes about themselves or as he says “set myself to disposition”.
My therapist once showed me a episode of Loriot 6 in which it was Christmas! I laughed dead. He only showed me the sketches with the family and the grandpa hahah
He doesn’t go directly with himself, but how Evelyn Hamann as a TV actress with English names, I find it great:

For longer:

Oh, my God, ten years ago, this is back… it’s a bit bad as time passes. Since I can honestly (also as a fan of the Vicco of Bülow) hardly decide; let me answer that —–> it is not a sketch in itself, but the whole movie “Pappa ante Portas” from 1991.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7H1gQ2hp5h
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UTdwzKMGEvU
He is a collection of skurriler and therefore inconceivable good quotes and recordings from “my name is Lohse, I buy here” to the Drögel-Riegel, the Klobrush salesman (where one thinks that these are Jehovah’s Witnesses), the Birne Helene, the Mielke-Sister (“Brigitte, do you come from Hamburg…?), the alleged Liler
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p1-wg5XQka0
…the commentary “my child sits and speaks” about his 16-year-old son Dieter in the chef’s room and of course Hedwig and Helmut on the train (“we add very well – I am always happy if Hedwig knows better”).
Of the books published by Loriot in the Diogenes publishing house, we have “Loriot’s little guides” and “people, animals, catastrophes” (the last “only” of Reclam as booklets). It’s both funny and a class for itself.
Thank you.
Best regards

Clearly the men on the racetrack!
Where are they going? Where are they going?
Could keep laughing about it again and again 😀
The picture hangs wrong, but also “The duck stays outside” and as Scrabblefan also the dog nose
The Steinlaus…

…has also brought it to an entry in the standard work for clinical dictionaries, the Pschyrembel…

and the Cossacks

🤣Thank you! I haven’t seen her for a long time. I had a royal amusement.😂 Loriot has resurrected Dr. Grzimek in every way – just great! And the Kosakenzipfel – this language, wonderful!
The one with the wine tasting (“these wines have captured the sun”), after the wine representative comes the vacuum cleaner representative and one of an insurance. After that there are cuts with egg and all are drunk.
The wine tasting and the vacuum cleaner representative are actually part of Christmas at Hoppenstedts:

Okay, thanks for the hint. Yeah, that tells me something.
The man was a universal genius in his field, as with Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Liszt, Wagner, … I didn’t want to choose either!
My favourites:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KYaToR9XlXk
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RqtJSPcqHn8 Where are they going? Where are they going? Oh, that’s nice. Oh, that’s nice. The lawn is beautifully green.)

… and in Pau. My God, you’re an ordinary!
I find the cartoons best with Mr. Müller-Lüdenscheidt and Dr. Klöbner. From your list, “Herren im Bad” is undoubtedly my no.1. When it comes to the duck, I can’t go any more (“I’m dipping now until you let the duck water.” Unfortunately I did not find this cartoon on YouTube (only played by amateurs 🥴🤭).
I also find these three:
Unfortunately, Studio Hamburg has blocked many of the classic sketches on YouTube for copyright reasons.

There are almost everyone on an audio CD collection. I had bought this for the school a long time ago and then sold out for a fraction of the price.
Yeah, sorry. But I was glad to see this one again. I always liked Loriot’s comments when he sat on the sofa and passed over to the next Sketch.
I want an egg.
You should have come a few hours earlier. I kissed yours. But maybe you wouldn’t have wanted it, because with me it must always be 7-minute eggs: solid protein + semi-liquid egg.
My feeling has nothing left for precise times. I don’t like distillery and I don’t want Easter eggs. Kitchen clock: 7’+ 😋! AusgezEmelnet!
Okay, solid protein is good! Egg yolk may be liquid :-D.
Next time with you ;-).
And: I always cook eggs according to “feeling” :-D.
And I have the complete TV edition as a DVD box home.
too many
I also find the Jodeldiplom/E.Hamann as if it was looked into the future, and who knew before that, at some point, gender will be forced on to the general public, because that is something like that in green.
Speaking of green
Where are they going? Where are they going? Oh, the lawn is beautiful green
The absolute classic for Christmas
Today still read a good answer to the marching music and thought directly again
A real good sketch 🙂
rubber ball
Zar “just” a speech from him, but – if you look at the situation today – timeless and more true than ever…

Followed by NUDEL and LOTTOGEWINNER.
MfG WoT 🎈
The picture went wrong. The hammer. The Kosakenzipfel is also geil🤣
“Fourther was more Lametta”…easy
But there are infinitely many great sketches, he was a genius.
Now be a little cozy!
At Loriot, I usually think of “noodle by mouth”.
The home operation. Faith.
I can’t believe how long the death of Loriot has been.
And today, Evelyn Hamann was 80 years old.
That’s why I made this survey again today.
Oh. I was wondering.
We can drink a German quality wine on them. From Palhuber and sons. With cork.
I’ll cut us.
An excellent idea.
The Sketch with the modest name “Skat” is my favorite. Unfortunately, it is no longer found in the original on YouTube.
“Do you play Skat?”
“Not right now. ‘
“What’s his name?”
“Moosbach”
‘Karo’
“But what is trump?”
‘kaarooo’
beautiful

also without FB registration.
When I hear Loriot, I’m thinking of “breakfast egg.”
I like all the sketches of him and the two films Ödipussi from 1988 and Pappa ante portas from 1993 simply brilliant works
I would say the classic.
I used to be in Wuppertal, but I didn’t find a men’s boutique…
Simple action framed by highest-ranking humor
otherwise of course the men in the bathroom
Oh!
the noodle crisis
the Jodeldiplom
Ansage English series
That was Mrs. Hamann.
Loriots idea, Hamanns Ansage
“When my wife prepares lumps, they are light and comfortable.”
The choreography is just perfect. Slapstick of highest quality, which otherwise only created perfectionists such as Chaplin or Keaton.
In an almost empty pub and the question: “Play Skat”.
Answer: not at the moment.
I find this answer much better than a sneaky ‘no’.
I always found room devastation and the broken TV best!
I’d like to…

One of my favorite sketches is “the Kosakenzipfel” and “the Jodel Diploma”
Diri Dudeljö!
Gruss
I don’t like his movie stuff very much.
But I love grandiose word games, so in my top 3 it is quite clear:
If a trumpeter blows into a violin…
(no idea how the official name is) – occupies 2
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8BFWggAcd-Y
Otherwise, no sketch, but in place 1:
Christmas
Otherwise, place 3 would have to think, there would be a lot to choose from.
His death certificate. Was the last sketch. Even if not of him, but for him
For ihm?
“What’s going on here?”
“The Lord eats a calfshaxe”
“Let’s get the child forward…”
“…and “Great” they asked…!”
“So I can’t eat” “You have to force yourself…”
😁
The four and a half minutes egg is good.
The Scrabble scene from Ödipussi:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-7pFDPMs4EU
Dog nose, cockdog and jellyfish… 😂
Or Bello, the talking dog! 🤣
The Sketch with the Skat game
They are all good haha
The others I don’t know :o)
A classic
😂 and Erwin Lottermann, who opens a men’s boutique with the Pope or so similar
In Wuppertal!
Breakfast.
and the noodle
