Lunivia contains the active ingredient eszopiclon, i.e. the active ingredient of Zopiclon. Eszopiclon is also a medicament from the group of Z-drugs which is used for short-term treatment of severe sleep disorders. It has a longer half-life and duration of action as a retarded Zopiclon and therefore serves primarily as a sleeping agent. Here more to Eszopiclon or Zopiclon.
All Z-drugs (i.e. Zolpidem and Eszopiclon) depend on too frequent use, which is why the treatment time is generally limited to 10 days. The action of Z-Drugs occurs after about 10-15 minutes.
Mirtazapine is a tetracyclic antidepressant which is exclusively permitted for the treatment of depression. However, due to its highly slackening effect, it is frequently also used in off-label use (application without official approval of the pharmaceutical authority) in sleep disorders. The sleek effect of Mirtzapin occurs after about 1 hour. Due to the relatively long half-life (not must) a residual fatigue can still exist next morning.
