My budgie is making strange noises. Should I be worried or could she be laying an egg?
Hello,
I'm really worried about my female budgie right now…
When I came to the bird room this morning, she was sitting in a small house making some very strange noises. Her companion bird was running around excitedly in front of it.
Now I don't know what to do. She's sitting in the house, clearly weak, making these heartbreaking noises.
She laid eggs about three months ago, and I didn't hear any such noises from her back then. Yesterday, she was jumping around a bit and occasionally retreated into this little house.
Do I need to take her to the vet now? But if she just wants to lay an egg, I can't take her away from there!? Help, what's the right thing to do? Or is it perhaps normal for them to make noises while laying eggs?
I really hope to hear about your experiences!!!
I hope you don’t expect a diagnosis here. All you know is “comic sounds” and that she sits in the cottage. You don’t even describe the sound…
Go to the veterinarian. Not to a normal one, they hardly know anything about birds and are extremely expensive in the investigations.
Funny sounds can be a lot. From a legenot to a lack of breath and other diseases. Better hurry to the good of the animal.
Veterinary, maybe she’s got a fix.
That’s what I thought, I noticed it before 1 std. So, isn’t it normal that maybe an ice can wait 2 hours or longer and make them sound?? I’m just afraid she’s going to be in a natural way and I’m gonna interrupt her when I take her out and drive her 45 minutes to the vet with her!? Are you afraid I’m making it worse?? The other eggs at the last brood laid them at night, so I’ve never seen them behave.
