Does the digital speedometer show more than 260?

Hello, I drive a 2010 BMW 535i with Stage 2.

My speedometer stops at 260, which is why I want to get a digital speedometer.

The km/h is displayed once as a number and once in the speedometer: 12-5-auto-LCD-Digital-Dashboard-Panel-Instrument-Cluster-Cock-Tacho-fr-BMW-5-6.jpg

If I drive over 260 km/h, is that also displayed as a digital number, or do I have to change something on the control unit? My brother said something like "Vmax" or something?

You can’t drive more than real 250 because he’s out there.

Yeah, sure. If you didn’t do anything in the car, it’ll lock at 250. However, since there is always a tacho lead in this country, since a tacho is not allowed to show too little at all, there is always something about the 260 on the tacho. GPS and real are 250kmh.

The tachos are deliberately inaccurate.

Yes, the speedometer is inaccurate.

Normally, they’ll settle at 250.

I had a seven, so I drove 270 on the tacho and he didn’t make it yet

Nope. The digital tacho also only displays the data he gets from the car.

There are workshops that could take the electronic lockout (250km/h). Then the tacho should also display more. Except he was not programmed for numbers over 260 or so. But how the story looks legal (maybe extinguishing the license?) I cannot tell you.

No, that’s legal.
