What is the normal cost of braces?
Hello, my dears 🙂
Yesterday I went to an orthodontist to get a consultation about braces. However, I'm now 18, and my health insurance no longer covers the costs. Even when I was 14, it was being discussed that I would get braces, which would have cost roughly 4,000-5,000 euros (including teeth extraction, etc.).
But at that time I decided against the treatment, which I still regret today.
When I went to the orthodontist yesterday, he told me that the treatment would cost 7-8 thousand euros, that I wouldn't have to have any teeth pulled and that I would only have to wear the braces for 1-2 years (he looked at my teeth for 2 minutes).
The price made me a little suspicious, and so I asked myself: Could what the doctor is saying be true? Or is someone trying to rip me off?
best regards and thank you in advance!!
Hello Catzzl,
the price may come.
In adult treatments, things are often offered immediately, which would fall under the luxury or optics area of adolescents and would not be taken over by the cashier. If tooth extractions are to be avoided, and this is sensible, then it costs a corner.
The duration of treatment is rather very generously estimated downwards 😉
Good luck!

I think it’s realistic. I have now had a spruce for 1 year and we had to pay 1400€ and the rest was taken over by the sickness fund. in the case of a brace, you also have to consider the aftertreatment and the costs a bit. I think this is included in the 7-8 thousand euro.
I hope that somehow helped you:)
Depends on the chip model.
“Billigstes Standard Model” costs around € 3000 (usually the longest, as the least effort required)
Lingualspange already €6000 (brackets behind the teeth). Aligner systems (transparent rails) : There is no upper limit.
You can, of course, pick up a second offer. ask what the absolutely cheapest embodiment would cost.
With me too it cost so much
