This is different for everyone, but normally about 1 to 4 weeks. Then you only rarely have problems with rubbing on the brackets and usually only pointwise.

Hello Misssunshine253,

in the optimal case, you will cover a shining spot immediately with wax, so that nothing will grow. After a few days, the oral mucosa has become used to irritation.

If it’s already healthy, it’ll take longer.

In the pharmacy there are camomiles and sage rinses and tinctures which accelerate the healing.

Then try it with sugar-free (!) Chewing gum – keeps better.
