Due to construction work, my street (a dead-end) is currently blocked. Although a crossing has been built for cars, heavier trucks (especially garbage trucks) cannot cross, and so the organic waste will soon be carried away on its own. How long are such road blockades permissible?
Hello! I have a beloved VW Passat B6 1.9TDI, which I mainly drive for short distances (Yes, I know, it's my own fault; I'm just not a petrol fan—save the stupid replies). I now apparently have the following problem: my DPF is full and every now and then I don't always get the following message:…
I'm not sure if I was caught speeding. The speed camera I'm referring to would be the red light camera at the traffic light (I'm not sure if I ran a red light). Since I'm on probation, I'd have a problem. I'm just unsure, or is there somewhere I can call and play it safe?…
Hello everyone, I'd like to buy a used Opel Combo. However, it runs on natural gas/petrol, and unfortunately, I have no idea if it's a sensible purchase. The internet says everything about the gas tanks, from "needs to be replaced after 15/20 years" to "doesn't need to be replaced, just serviced." If I had to…
Hello everyone, we need to buy a car, and my girlfriend is financing the purchase. This is my first car in Germany. Can I register and insure it under my name?
How far can I drive with the tank level? Can I simply add a little water? The tank level has to be filled halfway. How much water can I add?
The belt has been provided with the seal “maintenance-free”, see here under “valve drive”:
https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/VW_EA211#:~:text=The%20 camshafts%20will be%20%C3%BCber%20,%C3%BCber%20a%20ofthe%20output camshaft.
You should not find a change interval.
Thanks a lot
It should be noted that this is more a marketing term, less a technical term. Because “maintenance-free” does not mean “infinitely long-lasting”, but rather “motor stability limited by the toothed belt”. It is to say: an occasional control of the state cannot hurt.
Doesn’t that crutch have a necklace?
Had deceived me
THE crutch no longer, but the predecessor. Both at first glance are the same (1.4 TSI), but at the motor you can see it. In the version with toothed belts (EA211), the exhaust gas goes out at the rear of the engine, while older ones with control chain (EA111) are on the front of the engine.
Unfortunately, there was no picture of the Motörchen.
how much crutch?
I’m not a fan of throw-away technology either. I’m still working with it. I am interested in everything that has pistons and fuel burns.
I don’t think much about the whole VW frame. That’s why I don’t deal with it until the stuff appears in the workshop.
In 2016 the 211er should be installed.
is in the manual
usually around 80tkm
