Strap change at Seat Ibiza 6J BJ 2016 1.2 TSI 90 HP??

The belt has been provided with the seal “maintenance-free”, see here under “valve drive”:

https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/VW_EA211#:~:text=The%20 camshafts%20will be%20%C3%BCber%20,%C3%BCber%20a%20ofthe%20output camshaft.

You should not find a change interval.

It should be noted that this is more a marketing term, less a technical term. Because “maintenance-free” does not mean “infinitely long-lasting”, but rather “motor stability limited by the toothed belt”. It is to say: an occasional control of the state cannot hurt.

THE crutch no longer, but the predecessor. Both at first glance are the same (1.4 TSI), but at the motor you can see it. In the version with toothed belts (EA211), the exhaust gas goes out at the rear of the engine, while older ones with control chain (EA111) are on the front of the engine.

I’m not a fan of throw-away technology either. I’m still working with it. I am interested in everything that has pistons and fuel burns.

I don’t think much about the whole VW frame. That’s why I don’t deal with it until the stuff appears in the workshop.
