Dentures for the entire upper jaw?
Hello,
Another tooth has just broken off. There are now five missing teeth in the upper jaw (including teeth 11, 12, 21, and 22).
The field of vision is almost completely lost. Therefore, smiling has long been impossible.
Now I'm considering whether a denture (or perhaps a full denture) is an option. I'd also be willing to have several teeth pulled so that my upper jaw looks good again and I don't have to worry about breaking a tooth when I bite into an apple.
In other words, teeth 11-16 and 21-26 are completely gone and will be replaced by implants and dentures.
How much would that cost approximately?
And why don’t you wear an interim replacement? You can’t walk around like that….
No. You can certainly not guess for that. And a full prosthesis is not at all, then the problems begin. If your specified age is correct on your profile, I can tell you now that you will have massive problems with a full prosthesis in a few years. And bite into an apple – is not….
No one can answer this. Because it starts with a serious ZA not going to remove you a respectable tooth. Thus, no healthy tooth is removed. And if implants are useful and reasonable in your case, I also consider very questionable.
Let your dentist advise you which prosthetic solution is the best and most sensible for you.
When only one tooth was missing in the upper jaw (vine area), I got a prosthesis with hook. In the beginning, I felt comfortable, since there was no gap anymore. After a few months, however, filled teeth (where the hooks were attached) were damaged again, which means I no longer wore this prosthesis.
I just want to feel comfortable and have no gaps in my mouth. I want to smile again and eat properly too.
my tooth status is bad and I see it now. About 2 years ago all problem teeth were filled. They were optically fine again but even top filled teeth just break off. (see today)
I didn’t even go to the cellar without front teeth. I can only recommend you Interim prosthesis from Valplast to be made. The holding elements of this prosthesis are made of plastic, have no clamping wire which damages the existing teeth and is thus almost invisible. Advantage is the better aesthetic and a more pleasant seat of the prosthesis. It is insignificantly more expensive than a normal clamp prosthesis.
And then let yourself be reasonably advised. I’m fine. Do not imagine that an implant supply is indicated with you. Aside from the very high costs. There are some other ways that are certainly satisfactory and sensible for you.
Thanks for the feedback. And thanks for the star :-))
Lower jaws: brace prostheses are in fact not advantageous for the remaining healthy teeth. But of course this is also a question of money. Another prosthetic solution would of course be considerably more expensive. Good for you.
I was in a tooth centre now.
related to the upper jaw:
after the procedure, exactly 2 teeth will remain. (a left and a right)
all others are drawn, since they are no longer rectifiable or There would be only one root treatment and that would be more expensive.
these two teeth are then used for this, so that the dental prosthesis can be placed there. They are then treated so that they become magnetic. (are then silver-coloured) in addition with ner gaumen plate.
some teeth must also be pulled in the lower jaw. They will be replaced with clamp. But I’m not sure if I really want to do this, because this will damage the teeth…
Do what you want – I’m out of here.
No tooth is preserved.
I therefore wonder what alternatives are left to me.
NO dentist will remove you respectable teeth. So it’s not gonna be anything with the whole prosthesis! A total implant-supported prosthesis needs implants in the upper jaw 7 . And as I’ve written several times, I don’t think implants are indexed to you (this is just a guess of me, but speaks everything for it) . Here you can’t give you any real advice, this can only be a dentist who sees the overall finding in your mouth.
I’m just wondering. You’re a full prosthesis.
What else is the right thing for me? But there must be something to be done, which should remain in the long run.
I thought about 4 implants, which can then be attached to the rest of the teeth.
as an example, the teeth 11 , 16 , 21 and 26 are replaced by an implant and then the missing teeth 12-15 and 22-25 ) are attached to the implants.
would it work in this way or would it be necessary to remove 17, 18, 27 and 28?
Then keep running toothless. If a definitive supply would start with you now, it takes a few months to complete the treatment. It doesn’t work from today to tomorrow. If you like to go on like this, please…. Beautiful weekend.
If an option were yes, but this is only an interim solution…
For a specific number, ask your dentist. He can make you an offer, here are all just guesses or examples that might be outdated.
This can be made significantly cheaper abroad to the same quality.
