Z125 oder Duke 125 2018?

Frage steht oben.

For me definitely the Duke 125.

I drove a duke 125 for over 30,000km for about 2.5 years. After this time I canDuke Recommend.

Starting with the appearance I find the design really successful even after 9 years after publication. But that’s a matter of taste. Since 2017 there is also a new edition with a much better design in my eyes.

The driving behavior is great and the seat position is quite comfortable, you sit upright with a wide handlebar, but can also drive very sporty if you want.

A few years ago, I was able to determine this in a driving safety training where only larger machines with 70 hp on average were there. No problem in terms of cornering technology, which could have contributed to the rather wide 150 tyres for 125. (From 150mm there are most tyres for all motorcycles. For example, Pirelli Diablo Rosso II can be put on, which are absolutely great – even in winter okay!)

But with acceleration and peak speed, one realized the difference that even with the strongest 125s only 16 hp is available. However, these extend completely in everyday life and you get very well, even on the highway. You can always expect about 120 real kmh in good conditions. The speed can also fall below 100kmh against the wind and uphill.

But this is not really different from other 125s.

The brakes with ABS delay very well, especially in winter or when it is wet, the sensitive ABS is always good to have. The LCD display at the front is always easy to read and the general processing is very good, especially for a 125.

There has been nothing in the kilometers traveled, except for a few oil changes and two chain sets. A chain set can be calculated with 100-150€ (self-made and with the dealer), an oil change with 15 – 30€ depending on the oil and season (10W40 in winter and 10W60 in summer, as 10W40 already overheated at 35°C outdoor temperature). Also I needed two new sets of tires, which incl. mounting each approx. have cost 220€, but there were also some good Pirellis.

The average consumption is 2.5 litres. You can also travel under 2L/100km if you reach 65kmh on a road in summer. If you drive faster, consumption increases to about 2.7 to 3.0 liters. On the highway it comes to the wind direction, at the back wind and full gas like 3.5 liters, with back wind and 110kmh also under 2.7 liters. So here it comes to the conditions.

To date, it has always been reliable up to one time in winter when the battery was empty always on the 1st. Experiment jumped, even at -12°C.

I also drove the 2017s and 2018s a few times, and only the seat position and operation of the new display is somewhat different. But even better…

In summary, a light and good starter machine, which can also make a good mood if you want to drive a bit more sporty.I personally can recommend the Duke without restriction.

I would recommend the Z125
Experience reports on the net are as meaningful as a personal description of a blind one! And in the popular tests of the big magazines, what is simply a fact for all 125 machines:

They are all the same in terms of performance.

This talk of any kids with ego problems that define that their 15h miniature bike creates me tailwind and downhill 130 km/h instead of 124 km/h is so annoying. As if you were driving quarter mile races with the things all day!

Optics decide!
No matter what you’re getting for a 125, if you listen to people from your age far away from kids, and don’t judge testosterone and Coolne’s rush, you’ll find that you’re not doing anything wrong with any brand! They’re all in their tops! The design alone decides.

So why the Z125?
It is different, new on the market since 2018. She hasn’t been driven by many people yet and hasn’t been so sucked. It’s something special than being the hundredth on any duke. So you get a little more out of the crowd! So if you want to get away from the whole unity, sit on the Z and get happy.

Even if I’m really not a friend of it, but if it’s just the exhaust and you like the Z eh better, then build a new turn for your peace of mind 💪🏼 As you already realized, it’s just two years! But the Z is a cool bike. Drive the Z900! If I had been allowed to ride such a part at the age, I could not have sleeped with joy!

You’ll make the right decision, you’ll have time.

I can only say from my own experience: A crazy bike! Although luck never had to experience an A2 time, the open version and the A2 version don’t give much to it! On the contrary, the A2 is even better at the bottom! You won’t make a mistake.

But also at this point:
Take the time when it is ready and test everything! No matter who tells you, you have to decide in the end! And the best motorcycle is that you like to drive!

I would recommend the Duke looks more sporty and chic

and about the Duke 125 there are already more reviews on the internet, the motorcycle seems to me to be the better choice.
