Yes, many manufacturers are now building A2-compliant versions that are identical to those with higher performance. They then only have 70 kW at work and are a completely new model on the paper, which officially never had more performance and cannot be dethrotated to over 70kW – even if only a software update would be necessary for this.

Suzuki goes a little further and offers a “conversion kit” with which you can “increasing” the 70kW version – so simply the control unit of the >70kW version with expert opinion.

The software update on the MT09 can’t be done by chance by yourself somehow? Or get it?

Someone would have to answer that better with the model.

For example, when I asked a Kawasaki dealer if he could unthink a machine for a test drive shortly by a diagnostic tester, he said that this is only a software thing, but he only needs a release from the manufacturer for each performance change, as he wants to earn it.

Possibly, it is similar to Yamaha.

Yes, this is possible, but as with the Z900 you will have to take the A2-compliant variant of the MT09. This has 70kW if you let them open after acquiring the A.
