Adjusting the Yamaha Cygnus 125?
Hello, I have a problem. I can't adjust the carburetor on my Yamaha Cygnus. It only starts up briefly and then dies again straight away. If you start it up an hour later, you can drive about 30m at full throttle (23 km/h) and then it just dies. When I then want to start it, it starts up briefly but dies again straight away. I've cleaned the carburetor and blown everything through with compressed air.
In short: it only starts after a long kick. It gives off gas slowly and runs at full speed at about 23 km/h, but then dies again after about 30 meters. When you try to start it, it dies immediately. It can't be adjusted. The carburetor looks good on the inside; it's clean, and the rubber seals and diaphragms aren't worn.
Thanks for the answers in advance, regards Marc
Check the entire fuel system.
1) Gasoline filter
2) automatic gasoline valve if it has one
3) control all hoses for damage and tears and also the connections.
Also check the spark plug connector, which can have a small spring inside, whether it is broken
My Karre Honda Lead 100 SCV JF 11 108 cm3 has a cold start automatic system and it was broken.
The roller jumped badly.
Let’s try the mixture set screw if the car starts better.
If there’s nothing left, there’s only the workshop left.
Of course, also check all electrical cables and the contacts with the frames.
The contacts must be rust-free.I always give 1-2 drops of rust remover to the contact points so that they remain metallic.
Also blow out the air filter.
Thank you, I’ll test later!
Basically:If a car doesn’t run, then everything can be broken.
If everything’s okay, the car will run.
The probability that the whole carburetor has to be taken apart is low
