Yamaha 250cc 4 stroke golf cart bad combustion?
I have a question regarding my golf cart with its 250 cc 4-stroke engine. I'm having combustion problems. Every time I take my foot off the gas, it starts to produce a lot of soot and then eventually dies. It feels like it's about to flood. I looked at the spark plug, it's covered in black soot. So I took the carburetor apart and cleaned it, but that didn't help. I also cleaned the air filter, so it's getting air. Fuel also comes from the tank, so everything should be fine there. Could it be that the carburetor is incorrectly adjusted, and if so, can someone tell me how to adjust it correctly for this engine?
Thanks!
After cleaning, I would adjust (let)
in principle, it would have to be possible for you to do this. Alternatively, you could try a Yamaha workshop. Sometimes contract workshops do not accept such orders because technology is too exotic.
Let the carburetor adjust correctly. A petrol engine runs over fat when it produces visible smoke flags – or it swallows engine oil.
