Probably because you don’t have anxiety symptoms, whereas alprazolam (active ingredient of Xanax/Tafil) could work (the question implies a medically unrequited application in my interpretation).

Then you can’t feel anything, except if necessary. Tiredness or sedation, however, which is not perceived subjectively in part and especially in low doses. In the case of the additional consumption of alcohol it is no longer possible to determine what a possible anxiety solution or relaxation comes from – whether it comes from alprazolam or alcohol.

The combination of alcohol and alprazolam is risky. Where applicable: It should be seen from a non-scientific application of alprazolam.

Xanax is the US brand name for the active ingredient alprazolam. In Germany the drug Tafil, also generics are available.

Alprazolam is a drug from the group of benzodiazepines which is used primarily for the brief treatment of severe psychiatric anxiety. Like all benzodiazepines, alprazolam also makes it difficult to depend on when used too frequently.

Alprazolam is usually an extremely effective drug. The action occurs about 20 minutes after taking and stops for about 6-8 hours. The usual dose is 0.5 mg of alprazolam.

As a rule, the effect of benzodiazepines is very good. That you did not notice anything and this is only in combination with alcohol is more than unusual, unless the tablets are fake. Since you are Xanax (the US brand name) and not Tafil (the German trade name) or Generika wrote I assume you didn’t get the tablet prescribed.

One more preventive note: benzodiazepines (such as alprazolam/xanax) must not be combined with other centrally damping substances (e.g. alcohol or opioids). In mixed consumption, there is an increased risk of potentially life-threatening respiratory depression.

Why you don’t notice, I don’t know. Maybe it’s fakes?

But be glad you don’t notice. The consumption of alcohol and benzodiazepines is high-risk.

General information about the typical effects and side effects as well as the risks associated with consumption can be found here:
