I worked as a frontier worker in Switzerland my last working years. With the Swiss, I have come very clearly, not with the Alemannen on the German side of the Rhine. In addition, it was enough for me to live squeezed between mountains. Today as a pensioner I live on the Baltic Sea 10 minutes walk to the beach. There are no mountains blocking the view. From my window I see the sunrise and sunset on the horizon on the wide sea. That’s freedom.

In both places/genders I was only short for a day. Ultimately, it comes to a lasting feeling of well-being on the human impact. As I grew up in South Lower Saxony, the North Germans are closer to me, and in comparison, the proximity to the sea is better than the proximity to the Alps.
Lake Constance.From my current residence in Switzerland to Lake Constance, it is just over 200 kilometers and the area is familiar to me. This is not true for Bremen after 2 visits.
At Lake Constance the landscape is probably more beautiful, in Bremen probably the distance to a suitable workplace is lower.

Why is Bremen bad?
The schools are notorious. As an adult may go, one only wonders whether the government has become clumped. Ropes without end.But for children and youth a catastrophe. You can’t even go to a playground with grandchildren, if you’ve got bad luck, you’ll be attacked by half-strong.
Lake Constance would be cool. I would put myself in the rubber boat, put the umbrella, let me go of the wind and discover strange countries.

I think Bremen is a beautiful city, but I didn’t want to live there. I prefer Lake Constance. I prefer the human impact in the south of Germany rather than the northern lights. I am also closer to Austria and Italy.

I’m actually a North Light, but the Lake Constance already has its charm. The recreational value of Lake Constance alone is enormous. Also the weather is usually nice.
