What kind of question – what reason could I not support my own child? And it doesn’t matter if it’s sick, a leg has broken, a mental illness, or for other reasons it needs support. Even as an adult, it still remains my child – with all the connection between parents and children.

Hello!

In principle, yes, the parents also wish for their children.

However, it depends on the circumstances and many other factors too. Psychic disorders differ in severity, phases, etc. Severe mental disorders can change the nature of a person very much.

Many members of the family are often physically and psychologically burdened by the illness, such as schizophrenia or schizophrenic psychosis of their family member, that they themselves need expert advice and help.

I have often heard that the adult children are very far away from their parents. Not only three blocks on.

Even siblings can or do not want to support or help each other, even though they had once sworn.

I would, of course, like to support my children in such periods of illness. But it’s not always possible.

Practice often looks different than desired.

I would also support my adult children if they were healthy. Isn’t that normal?

Sure. Children always stay children, even if they are grown up.

And parents stay parents. Depending on the situation, such conditions can also reverse…

Then you expect from your children – at age – no support? Or after an accident? After a crime? So if you have a stroke of fate and need help?

Your question is in the conjunctive: “Do you wish…” You don’t have to have children to answer that.

I’d support her, too. Don’t have kids.
