I personally do not think solid media times are a good idea. Children do not learn anything except that the media become more interesting for them because it becomes something special – so there are breaks of rules. Punishing them in the form of different sequences is just as little as they learn nothing from them and the interest only rises and so there are new rules.

So either one implements rules consistently or it’s just rough guidelines. There’s nothing in between, something the kids learn.

But: I don’t think of any fixed times, you should rather make it variable.

Clear, consequent is an important part of education, inconsistency is allowed to bathe sooner or later.

Why media times when the child has hobbies and friends? As long as there’s enough balance there’s no problem even to hocken a little longer.
