Wrong recipient country specified in transfer?

I made a transfer in the middle of last week and it hasn't arrived yet, even though my bank says it has already been transferred.

The IBAN is correct, but I accidentally selected a different recipient country when selecting the country. Was that really that bad? And where is my money now?

When using an IBAN, no country has to be specified. Can it be that you have made an international transfer instead of a SEPA transfer (transversely EU transfer)?

that’s bad. a foreign transfer can take up to 2 weeks.

Unfortunately, you wrote relatively little so that you can’t really answer the question.

The recipient country is clearly defined by the IBAN. If the IBAN starts with “AT” for example and is indicated as the recipient country “Italy”, the money still arrives on the Austrian account.
