Write a book! Career?

Hello dear community,

Somehow I really feel like writing a book and publishing it.

But I don't want to make money from it. For that, I would have to start a company or be self-employed.

My question is, what's the process like? Are there any special apps for this?

If I publish my book on Amazon, would I have to pay for production and printing? Does anyone know of a free alternative?

On the other hand, I've also been thinking about writing a story using the app Wattpad. Do you have any experience with this?

Quite a lot of questions. I hope someone can help me 🙂

Thank you in advance.

1. Write the book first.
With an inexperienced hobby author, this will last years.

2.) Then you can upload your book for publication on various pages on the Internet, e.g….

  • Wax pad
  • Fanfiction
  • Belletristica

These are pages where thousands of (young) authors publish, exchange their stories and books and gather first experiences as an author.

3. As a further step, you can publish your book for free as Selfpublishing Book / eBook, e.g. via portals such as:

  • Book on Demand
  • epubli
  • Bookrix
  • Neobooks
  • Amazon Kindle KDP

Whether there are actually readers or even buyers who are interested in your book, that is of course another question.
Write books, this has become a widespread hobby and in these portals crowds of hopeful hobby writers and gigantic masses of books wait for (finally) to find a buyer.

Have fun writing and success!

Write the book first. Then let it be read by people who understand. And then you think about whether you want to publish it.

You can publish in the self-publishment. You don’t have to make yourself independent.

Without attacking you now: As you write, I’d suggest getting a co-author on board. The idea or the storyline for the book comes from you, the handcrafted letter takes over the second.
