I'm currently writing a book (I'm 14) and wanted to ask if you'd read it, or why not. The book is about a girl who lost a loved one, which is why she becomes depressed and then loses her emotions. She has to deal with many different problems (eating disorders, suicidal thoughts, self-harm) and then has to be institutionalized, where she meets someone.

Maybe it sounds interesting. I’m also dealing with suicidal thoughts and the like, from which I would at least sniff in.
However, I read more so books towards Fantasy 🙂
PS: Where do you write this book? On Wattpad or so correctly with publishers and dogs?
Depends on your writing style and history, or What you do from the idea. For example, I really liked the summaries of books, but then I found the implementation bad and stopped reading the book or the style of writing I found bad and stopped reading it

When I read a book, I want to drop and feel comfortable in it. I want to read about adventures, something beautiful and exciting, something I can laugh about. But I definitely don’t want to read about depression and problems! This book would have been banned from me.
I don’t hope you’ve got a really severe depression before.
For me, someone is only credible when he writes a book on this subject that had a depression or she has deepened it. Talks with affected persons and/or a specialist.
For such serious issues, the information must be correct. People can otherwise be hurt in their feelings. Or the readers get a wrong opinion about it.
