Would you prefer an SSD with a heatsink or with a heatsink for PS5?
Hi, today is Prime Day and I might want to buy this SSD for my PS5: https://amzn.eu/d/eYnl9a6
The problem is, the second image states, "Installing an SSD without a heatsink in a PlayStation 5 may damage the SSD and/or console. Micron is not responsible for damage caused by users."
So you can choose between heat sink and normal. However, you can't choose between heat sink and heat sink.
How do I find good SSDs that have heatsinks instead of heatsinks (or can both be used?)
Heatsink is the English term for a heat sink.
With heatsink (German translation = heat sink) many models do not fit into the slot of ps5.
Look at test reports… Then you’ll find the right one.
PS. Even without heat sinks, they will not be overheated during shock….

Thank you. But at that it is compatible with Ps5 but still the warning that it can damage without heat sinks. But on the picture, the seemingly confusing with heatsink.
The cooler can be removed or sometimes it is delivered separately and has to be mounted. That’s why they know how to use the cooler in any case.
