Would you find this AI useful?

I once heard that scientists want to create a kind of AI in the future that will convert the human brain into a kind of computer program after death, so that the deceased is artificially preserved for posterity. All of their memories, feelings, etc., will essentially be copied and stored on it. I don't think it will work that quickly, since no one has yet succeeded in recreating a fully functioning human brain, and I can't imagine we'll be able to do so anytime soon. Personally, I find that idea pretty horrifying!

I think it's quite meaningless because the AI would behave differently after a short time than man. The AI also develops further, but just differently, as the human being (if it should possess such) would have different ideas.

I think it is relatively useless, unless it comes to special people, artists or scientists, who are considered to be the afterworld. But for Hans and Franz this doesn't bring, because immortality is not.

I personally think this idea is quite terrible!

Me too. To continue to exist without being able to determine itself. Is a human being without a body a human being?

This development will not be completed in the foreseeable future.
The brain is too complex. And too unknown.

that will last a long time, the brain is extremely complex and they don't even create it with small creatures. In principle, however, a brain can be reconstructed artificially and it would be immortal

Who needs that?

Who needs that?

Science could use it.

Thank you for explaining your typing error in such an overdramatized way (and installed the next one).

Of course, such an AI would keep us on.
I even explained why.

Just read.

Still, the AI doesn't get us any further

Intelligible: Still doesn't bring us AI anymore!

Imagine there are also evil men!

And on?
With a scalpel, an evil person can kill others, should a doctor not be allowed to use it?
Everything can be abused by evil people.

Imagine we had a picture of Einstein, Hawkings and similar geniuses permanently present. And that in every research institute.

Almost every scientific branch would make explosive progress.

I think this is extremely interesting and in certain areas it is quite sensitive.

One imagines what enormous progress we would make in science if images of Newton, Einstein and Hawkings were permanently present. And not only once, but as often as desired.

is also absolutely terrible! that would be locked-in syndrome for all eternity.

well, if you can create this you can also build a cybernetic body with all sensors such as eyes, ears etc.
