Would it make any difference to delete ALL digital data?
Like about 90% of the people around me, I spend too much time on my phone and computer. I've always done that since I was a kid. I was wondering if it would help to delete all my accounts, all my video and image files, bookmarks, just about every file, pixel, etc., or would I just start everything over again out of boredom anyway, because I'm used to it?
I know the most important thing to overcome addictions is alternatives, but unfortunately I have nothing at home in my tiny apartment other than a book and a piano.
The habit is already created. You are constantly confronted with the media. Since a reference to an internet presence, as a reference to (probably) benefits through apps – high is the likelihood that the thought comes to you: “Ah, I could check that or that.” – You’d be back in the strudel. Just because you have no alternative(s).
