Would I be exaggerating?

I (f14) have a really strange religious studies teacher. He sits next to me every lesson and explains things from there. You can't see him very well from there, and I find it really weird. He keeps telling me how great he thinks I am and how drastically I've changed (for the better). He also constantly looks at me (I don't mess things up in class) and almost always calls on me (just me). He's actually just a priest and not a teacher, but he still teaches religious studies at our school. He's also our deputy class teacher, which complicates the situation even more because he hears everything that's discussed internally by the teachers.

I still want to talk to my teacher about this. Do you think I'm exaggerating?

This is our seating plan. I'm sitting in the green spot. The teacher's desk is in the blue spot (just like the whiteboard), and he sits below me (as seen in the picture). The red dots are the students.

No, you don't exaggerate. It's perfectly okay to say that you feel uncomfortable.

Before you talk to your class teacher, just take a test.

Exchange with anyone from the class the place where he can't sit next to you and observe what happens. If he still sits on the place again, there's nothing to do with you. If he sits on his teacher's desk and doesn't take you that way, then it should be clear what's going on and then you shouldn't just talk to your class teacher, but also talk to the school manager.

Let him know. Maybe he'll check that it's unpleasant to you that he'll always sit with you.

Whether it's allowed or not, I'd still do it in your place and he's supposed to remember it.

Then they will help you

Yep, this is the thing. You can still say that it distracts from teaching when he sits next to you or that it's just unpleasant to you.

Or, as written above, just swap with someone's place and see what happens.

Btw is already good that your classmates can also remember this and take care of you.

Generally, it was just weird. Like Count Dracula. Has run really slowly and has grimed throughout (but really uninterrupted) and sometimes made such sexual jokes and also had his favorite pupils. There's really all feeling uncomfortable, but he didn't do a bad thing, which we should have reported to the school board or something. That's why we just watched that no one is alone with

Wow unpleasant 😭 Yes okay, I would be careful too. It's best to see that you're not alone with him in a room. We also had really funny German teachers and have always looked as a class that nobody is alone with him 🫠

Maybe just favorite students 🤷🏽 ♀️ I had such teachers, too. Most will not have any thoughts, but it is always good to be careful. And as I said, completely okay to say that you feel uncomfortable. He doesn't touch you, does he?

Maybe everything is harmless and he just wants to be part of the class and therefore sits on it (besides you is the only free space if I see it right), but still it's completely okay to say that you feel uncomfortable with it
