  • p.m. (post menstruationem) means from the first day of the last control bleeding)
  • p.c. (post conceptionem) means “after conception” or after fertilization

The calculation of pregnancy weeks is somewhat confusing.

Pregnancy weeks are expected from the first day of the last period bleeding – even if fertilization takes place only about two weeks later. So these two weeks are almost “free” and the actual pregnancy age (from fertilization) is younger.

Because hardly a woman knows when it comes to fertilization. But most women know the first day of their last period bleeding.

But, for example, in the case of a penalty-free abortion after the time limit resolution, the legislator assumes the actual age of pregnancy: within the first twelve weeks p.c., corresponding to 14. SSW => 14 weeks p.m.

Happy for you!

Thanks to you, but what do the counts differ when specifying the duration of pregnancy? So two weeks or what?

Yes – in a regular, 28-day cycle, the ovulation finds about 14th. cycle day instead.

A supplementation from children’s desire and in the first weeks is meaningful.

What counts? There’s one.

It is calculated from the first day of the cycle in which one became pregnant, about 40 weeks (38-42), then one has about the release period.
