You have to set two equations:

2 x + 4 y = 180

x + y = 70

And then dissolve to x and start up for x:

x = 70 – y

use now:

4y + 2 (70-y) = 180 calculate the

And use the number in the 2nd equation and then calculate for x

Since every animal has only one head, you should be able to quickly solve it yourself….and chickens have 2 legs…

* 4 + h * 2 = 180

K = 70

Now you, you know how?

Better use.

k = 70 – h

Put it in the first. Okay?

Then you only have an unknown and can calculate the number of chickens.
