Metals are cold conductors because they conduct better at low or normal temperatures than at high temperatures.

Semimetals are hot conductors because they conduct better in the warm or even hot state than in the cold state.

A cold conductor consists of a material whose electrical resistance decreases with increasing temperature. Examples of cold conductor materials are silver, gold and copper oxide. When a cold conductor flows through, its temperature is increased due to the current flowing through, which in turn leads to a drop in the resistance. Cold conductors are used in many applications, such as temperature sensors and thermometers.

On the other hand, a hot conductor consists of a material whose electrical resistance increases with increasing temperature. Examples of hot conductor materials are platinum and carbon. When a hot conductor flows through, its temperature is also increased due to the current flowing through, but this leads to an increase in the resistance. Hot conductors are used in many applications, such as in bulbs and heating elements.

emmm… Are you sure about your examples?

Copper oxide is not a metal and therefore certainly not a conventional cold conductor. Usually it would be considered as an insulator, but good: it has semiconductor properties AND is used in superconductors. However, this makes it a hot conductor or a mixture component.

Platinum would be a cold conductor rather than metal and see there: it has a positive temperature coefficient. It is doped for use as a measuring conductor!

Here, cold conductors and hot conductors have already been confused. A cold conductor leads well in the cold state, and when heated, the resistance rises. A hot conductor has a low resistance at high temperature.

I hadn’t noticed because I’ve become stubborn in the wild combination of fabrics.
