How can you tell the type of plastic?

Hello community, I have a specific question. Does anyone know how to identify the different types of plastic? For example: I have a Rheinfels water bottle here. How can I tell which type of plastic it is? Please only serious answers. It's important; I have a good idea how we can protect the environment. Thanks in advance.

The easiest way is through a burn sample.

You take a small piece of plastic in e.g. a plier and ignite it.

The different plastics burn differently (with bubble formation, colour of flame, smell, etc).

Here you have a small overview:

The plasticART You can’t see it as a layman… BUT you can ask or see it, for example, if you look at this Rheinfels water bottle exactly and look for the enslaved names on the bottle, and enter it with Google (or another search engine).

If you do not succeed, you must ask the manufacturer (or distributor).

Some companies often react to inquiries very hesitant… then you have to be stubborn… and ask!

What do you mean exactly what plastic? There are many thousands of variations in the dosage of mineral oil, plasticizers, etc. Green plastic is made of corn starch. Break-proof variations also contain glass or carbon fiber. The manufacturers have a lot of recipes and each has a number so it is theoretically also different in terms of flexibility and fracture safety.
