Or is it okay to hold a hamster in your hand, or should you avoid it? (My 12-year-old sister always does that; I don't know if it's good for the hamster.)
Hello, I'm thinking about buying two kittens. I want them to be outdoor cats later on. At what age can the kittens be let outside for the first time, and for how long?
I would like to know which plants have which effects
How does a chicken know when it's Sunday? Is it a coincidence, or is it perhaps due to a different amount of food? What about a leap year or February? Why doesn't it shift? Thanks
I had to go to the vet last night because my hamster wasn't feeling well. He was put down. But I hear things like, "Why are you spending so much money on that hamster? It would have died on its own." Yes, in a few days, in excruciating pain! (It was a ruptured tumor in…
What is it and why? I've read various things online and I'm confused. thanks 😀
A wolf hybrid is the mixture of wolf and dog. A wolf dog, on the other hand, is a pure dog or a dog breed of the original type.
A hybrid is not reproductive. Therefore, the common word “Wolfhybride” is actually wrong. It is nevertheless used.
A wolf hybrid is a blend that has a wolf as a father and a dog as a mother (or vice versa). The puppies resulting from this are “uniform”. Heisst, each of these so-called F1 generations carries 50% of the respective parent. If these puppies are further paired, a F2 generation is created. In this litter, puppies have more of wolf, just as they have more of the dog. This then continues and the genetic material “diluted” more and more.
Hybrid animals, however, are only those that originate directly from the F1 generation.
And short info on the edge: A wolf dog (without S) is a dog that originates from such hybrids.
A wolf dog (so with S) is a dog that only looks similar to a wolf, for example because of the coloring, or because it was used for the wolf hunt.
A wolf dog is a dog breed, so a real dog. Granted, he looks very similar to a wolf and is still very original. Means genetically, it is not as far away from a wolf as a poodle.
A wolf hybrid, on the other hand, is a real wolf crossed with a dog. So half wolf, half dog. Wolves can pair with dogs as the wolf is the father of all dogs. They are still very similar to the anatomy.

That’s not true, wolf dogs have real wolf DNA. The recognized breeds, i.e. Saarloos and Czechoslovakians, are on average 20-30% Wolf and 70-80% Shepherd. That’s measurable.
Hmm I’m not quite sure, but as far as I know, hybrids (children of dog x wolf) cannot multiply, the dog breed wolf dog very well.
At least this rule applies to stone blocks and domestic goats – whether it also applies to wolf hybrids…- I think so too….
No, the house dog comes from the wolf, so both can cross fruitfully. On the other hand, the domestic goat does not originate from the ibex, but from the bezoar goat, which is why hybrid goats/pink are infertile.
A wolf dog is a dog breed.
A wolf hybrid is half wolf, half dog.
