Where can I get thinly insulated extension cables with Schuko plugs?

I have a problem where I want to run an extension cable behind a panel, but the standard insulation is too thick, making it impossible to install the panel. I can't find a thin-insulated cable with a "large" Schuko plug. Thanks for your help 🙂 I've found cables without plugs or with thin plugs, but not with thick ones.

Hello and good evening, !

Then buy Metwerware and additionally a “thick” clutch and a “thick” plug. You won’t be able to change anything like this because this is the norm. However, on the cross-section!

It’s not a witchcraft to configure a cable.

You can also take less cross-section. It is important to observe the purpose of use for the purpose of fire/heat and litz wire thickness. It does not always have to be a 3x 2.5 or a 3x 1.5. If it is sufficient for your application, 3x 1.0 or 3x 0.75 will also be added. What are you gonna do?

There are already finished cables that are already “crimped” at both ends.

For example, you could buy a ready-to-use 1.0qmm cable.

Then you can mount a “thick” socket at the end.

Only as an example: H05VV-F

Is There Anywhere at Amazon, Online, ebAy, Construction Market, Trade

There isn’t. The cores must have a minimum cross-section, the insulations must have a certain thickness. Everything else wouldn’t be safe.

The cable with flat plug is two-wire cables which do not contain a protective conductor.

There are flat cables in which three conductors are arranged next to each other. But I didn’t find a complete extension line. It may have to be a little bit of a bit, and the strain relief becomes difficult.

In the case of self-assembling: use (crimping) wire end sleeves before the wires are clamped in plug and socket. Green-yellow protective conductors should be a little longer than the other veins, so that in the case of the latter they tear off as the last. Of course, clamp them correctly. Clean strain relief. For this, it is necessary to make a little bit for the flat cable, as the plugs are provided for round cables.

Hello!

This will hardly happen because of the necessary protective effect.

However, there would also be special milling machines with which a suitable cable shaft could mill into the wall.

Such devices can sometimes even be borrowed in construction markets.

That’s just an idea…

An extension line normally has at least 1.5 mm2 conductor cross section and the thickness of the insulation is specified by the standard. Thus also the total diameter.

If the cross-section of the thinner cable is sufficient to transport the power quantity AND you can do this: in the construction market you can buy plugs, cans and cables loosely and assemble them into an extension cable.

But as said: “normal” cables have nym 3 x 1.5 cross sections.

If your consumer has a high wattage and you are using thin cables, this is not harmless!

This is also not harmless if the consumer draws less electricity. In the event of a short-circuit defect, the line must carry the short-circuit current until the fuse is triggered. In the other case, fine securing would have to be set in front of the thin line section.

The insulation has a purpose to fulfill, namely to prevent current accidents. If someone comes to damage or a fire through your own craft, no insurance will help you.

Well, that your own concern radar has already jumped when you thought about “coffee machine”…

If there is too little space behind your screen, it must be created, e.g. by slitting the wall and laying the suitable and permissible installation cable in this slot.

One way would be ÖLFLex cable. that is not designed for rough use.

another would be thinner cables. but it should be ensured that not too much is connected at the back. or you would have to secure the cable with fine fuses. one in L one in N, because we do not know where the phase is at the outlet.
