Where to connect the ignition coil?

Hello, I have the following problem: I need to install an ignition coil in my scooter, but I don't know where to connect it. Do I just attach it to the frame with the two hexagon screws, or how do I route the power to the coil? I can't find a cable on the ignition coil itself that I need to connect anywhere, nor can I find a black ground cable on the scooter; I can only find the one for the battery. Does that mean the coil gets its power from the frame? I have a Benelli 49x, if that helps.
