= 20 t

s = 2000 – 40t

Solution system for the meeting point:

s=666.7m from A

t=33.3.

Set the coordinate system of a time-way diagram to A and set two way-time functions:

Red car:

Green car – is at the beginning (t=0) at s=2000 m so:

The meeting point is when:

To control: You will meet after 33.33 s at the route point 666.67 m (route which the red car has traveled until then)

To find out where and when the two cars meet, you can use the equations for the distance and the time each car needs to reach its destination.

Distance = speed x time

The red car needs 2000m / 20m/s = 100s to reach B.

The green car needs 2000m / 40m/s = 50s to reach A.

As they meet halfway, they meet after 50s.

To find out where they meet, you can count the distance each car has traveled.

The red car has traveled 20m/s * 50s = 1000m.

The green car has covered 40m/s * 50s = 2000m.

So they meet 1000m from A.

In summary: The two cars meet after 50s and 1000m from A.

So much for ChatGPT. In doubt, I can do better wrong.

2 cars with 2 different speeds -> 2 equations
