Where should I sell my car?
I want to buy a new car. The website where I want to buy the new one says that I can trade it in. Should I sell it there or privately?

Do you have any tips/tricks etc?
I don't know anything about this. I bought a 2011 VW Polo V Style with 69 hp and 110,000 kilometers on the clock, and the question now is whether to insure it with partial or fully comprehensive insurance.
Hello, cold exhaust gases come out of the exhaust when the engine is running Is this normal? The engine is warm, around 83-85 degrees. No smoke or fumes. VW Polo 9N 2006 1.2 12V BME
Hey, I want to re-register my car. I have the vehicle registration document, but I can't find last year's MOT or general inspection. Can I have this printed out at the workshop where I had it done? Lg
Hello, My international car insurance card does show Turkey, but only up to the Bosporus (separation between Europe and Asia). I want to drive to Turkey for four weeks and explore the country. Unfortunately, my insurance tells me that I'll have to pay for a year to include Asia. That would cost me more than…
So, basically, it’s natural that you get more privately for the car.
It is easy to say, however, that the market for used cars is firmly in the hands of Arab clans, and that unfortunately makes the used car sale extremely difficult.
My personal experience is that most of the interested parties do not want to drive the car but sell it.
I have actually experienced that a “Martin” wrote to me and then an Arab family came to the agreed date, and they had brought a trailer right away.
Then I was told that the car was not nearly worth the 3000 euros I wanted, but a maximum of 1000. (2200 had already offered the car house as payment.)
When I refused, I was massively put under pressure, after all, you drove 400 kilometers for free and also with a rented trailer. And besides, the car is junk and there junk and all over it.
In the end, I just came out of the situation by saving myself to the house and just letting the whole gang stand out.
And that was just the worst experience of all. Day-long telephoneterror and “What is last sprout” – requests until I could sell the car to a father for his son for 2500.
300 euros more than the dealer would have paid, but I wouldn’t do it again. Next time I would get a maximum of different offers from different car houses.
In the best case, I think this is a very exaggerated one and, in the worst case, a discriminatory one. Already sold used cars on mobile.de and ebay scales several times. Were all quite normal people, even those with a migration background. Came, look, test drive, fly a bit and either you agreed or you said bye.
But I don’t even give a phone number and inquiries like “What last price” are kindly rejected or the contact is blocked.
Not that I haven’t had any bad experiences yet, but to say the market for used cars would only be in Clan-Hand, is simply nonsense and may at most only apply to your region.
I really can’t say if this is a regional problem, but these are my own experiences.
For example, I also know someone who has chosen a car house Schmidt in the region. But there are also only Arabs. There is no Mr. Schmidt.
I certainly don’t want to discriminate against anyone. My ex-husband is Egyptian and also acts with cars. He personally recommended to give the car in payment to avoid stress.
And he was perfectly right.
I’ve been a similar situation. To my car, a note that you want to buy my car. I wanted to sell it because I ordered a new car.
Nah. Contact the interested party. There were three drivers coming and looking at the car. They called the price that was, of course, too high. Car’s so old and we’ll pay that, according to their statement.
I did not respond to this. Then they were pampy, and they said I wanted to pull them with this price of the table. Thank you, this is a pinch and ready. After a longer discussion, they drove away.
Got mine. Car offered at a dealer “we buy your car” There I drove. after having called me a price in advance.
The car was in very good condition. TÜV for 2 years, complete set with rims on winter tires. Proofable that all inspections were made. No accident, first hand, etc.
Special equipment for which I paid a lot of money when buying. That wasn’t interested. Short view of the car at the dealer. A photo, no test drive.
Asked what I could get for my car? I would get the price one day later from the headquarters by email. I received an e-mail, and the price was much lower than in advance.
I did not accept this price. photographed the vehicle and offered on the internet. Two days later, an interested party called me, and we made a test drive. He immediately said the car and we agreed about the price I demanded right away. I achieved 4000 euros more than I was offered by the dealer.
The customer immediately paid in cash after conclusion of the contract.
From this I learned that the private sale is probably the best solution.
Depends on the offer of the dealer. If your previous vehicle is interesting for him for resale, it can be that it makes you an interesting offer due to the currently high used car prices. If he had the advantage of doing all the formalities and you don’t have to worry about anything.
Of course, you can also sell it privately and get a slightly higher price, but then you must also take care of the sale and find a buyer first.
Is ultimately a balance between price and effort.
You can’t say that, you should have figures. I think the easier way is to give the car to the dealer and the case is done for you.
If you can sell your car privately, it might be that you will achieve a surplus and have better conditions with the new car. But you also need to take the matter actively.
Payment would be possible only by a dealer. But this is often only taken into “Commission”.
Whether the person actually actively strives for the sale is another question. Frequently, a little later the announcement comes that the price you expect is not to be realized. Then you have to repay the difference.
When you pay, you will get the retailer purchase price that is significantly lower than what you’re getting at the private sale. That’s why you got the vehicle off and save yourself annoying sales.
Significantly less would mean the 20-40% less?
That’s what the dealer will tell you. The bike was 60%.
Depends on the car and the price range.
Private you probably get more for the car, but you also have more work and possibly stress with it.
When you pay, you give off your old car
If you pay the old car, you can’t get the discount rate when buying a new car as if you sell your car otherwise.
I ordered a new car. Purchase price € 45 000. Payment immediately upon delivery without installment. Could trade the original price down to €32 000 The dealer reads the car without calculating the registration costs.
For my old car, I was able to get 8 000 € on private sale. Then my new vehicle cost me €24 000.
Therefore, I would rather recommend selling a used car to private If you give your car to regular inspections, this will also be fully functional and thus you will save yourself trouble at the buyer
That’s not true. When I bought my Toyota as an executor at the dealer, I got 3000€ for my old car (value close to 1000€) incl. replacement premium. I would have done NIEMALS privately.
Do I say something else?
I’d sell over mobile.de.
