There are also demonstrations with spiders and beard puppets that you get on your hand. There are also shows of the other animals.
All this is included in the regular ticket price.
I used to attend a lecture as a child and then got a snake around the neck. And in the folk school the “Reptilienmann” was there. He also managed everything possible and also snakes that were allowed to touch.
And you could just ask in a more family reptile business if you might want to stroke a snake because…(what is your reasoning too).
