Wo fahren in Wien noch die alten E2 Straßenbahnen?
Ich war vergangenes Wochenende in Wien auf eine kleine Fototour und wollte mitunter eine alte E2 Straßenbahn fotografieren, so lange ich noch die Möglichkeit habe. Meines Wissens sind noch welche in Wien unterwegs, zumindest als ich vor einigen Monaten mal dort war habe ich etliche gesehen.
An diesem Tag sah ich keine einzige. Nur die modernen Niederflurwagen. Bin tatsächlich mehrere größere Knotenpunkte abgefahren, Meidling, Karlsplatz, Schwedenplatz, etc. und habe dort längere Zeit gewartet, nichts.
Für das nächste Mal: Weiß jemand, auf welchen Linien die noch unterwegs sind? Gibt es irgendeine Regel, nach der die Wagen eingesetzt werden, oder kann man sich gar irgendwo ansehen wann wo welche Garnitur fährt? Wo in Wien hat man die besten Chancen noch so eine zu erwischen?

There are many E2 in the outskirts. For example, line 25 and 26, each second bim feels an E2.
They are also on line 31 to Stammersdorf, alternating with Ulf-Garnitureen.
There are over 100 cars of this type….
I didn’t see line 31 last Saturday. Was on the gravel ring and I think I waited 4 or 5 trams, only ULF.
So if you stop at Floridsdorf Train Station (there are three lines) you will surely see an E2 clothing within 15 minutes.
You can also see it on the digital ads. If next to the line is not a wheelchair symbol, then the Bim is an E2 set
I think that will be when shorter intervals are run due to the higher traffic volume. There you need extra clothing.
So in the early and midday (students!) And later afternoon.
I could imagine that they’re only driving at certain times. That’s why my question was if you can find out where and when they drive, there’s probably some system behind it.
So I have been in Floridsdorf before (at noon) and there has just come from Stammersdorf der 31er, with an E2.
Maybe they’re just driving at peak times….
And not to forget the E2 are only on lines that use long trains! So basically on lines 1, 2, 5, 6, 11, 18, 25, 26, 30, 31, 38, 40, 41, 43, 60, 71.
But felt there are most on lines 1, 2, 5, 6, 25, 26, 30, 60 and 71.
