WLAN via power (Fritzbox, Fritzbox powerline)?
Hello, there are different sets, and I'm really unsure which one I need to connect my Wi-Fi router to my PC. I'm worried I'll be stupid enough to buy an extension instead of the standard pack. Which of these Powerline variants do I need?
(I've been having a lot of trouble lately with Wi-Fi dongles that lose their connection. And I just want something that finally works. So I don't even dare to try anything anymore without being 100% sure it's the right one.)
Powerline see 4 yes..
Here is a list of very good data transfer, to leave the fingers of it.
1 Lan cable
is not beaten, perpendicular to the stairs or horizontally along the ceiling. Even the cheapest barbars have 2 grooves for cable guidance. There are now flat ones that fit into the door.
2 Accesspoint
, can also be an old router, a repeater, which must then be set up. They’ll get the signal over a Lan cable and then give Wlan out.

4 Dlan.
doesn’t always work. (here it is at point 4) but that it is an ingenious variant. You should try. Order adapter online, you have right to return.
e.g.
here you see it the adapter that sits on the router is bigger.
Other
here are the names
Other
the expensive Fritz adapters are in principle different sizes, with the larger one coming to the router
And at Netgear I connect one with the router and the other with the PC via LAN?
I left it because I thought you know
The router doesn’t care.
an adapter becomes a single one! plugged near the router and then gets the signal via Lan cable from the router. He sends this into the power grid of the second or more adapters then give you no matter what power outlet from the house, Lan or Wlan.
I assume that your goal is to increase the Wi-Fi range.
In that case, I would actually advise you from any powerline device. It just doesn’t work stable enough.
What you need is probably more a repeater. There is also the Fritz Repeater from AVM.
The repeater is within the scope of the existing WLAN network and again sends the same signal.
So when I look at the Wi-Fi bars on the PC are actually all full and we also have no zone where you hardly have internet except you move outside the house. All devices except my PC run perfectly with our devices (handy etc).
I connected my wireless router without cable to the PC:
Here the instructions:
You can also use a LAN cable.
He loses the connection every time and once the connection has lost, he does not find it again whether automatically connect or not.
Then get in touch with the internet operator, so something is not normal.
But it is only with the PC that all other devices work. It was not my question:(
How about a LAN cable?
I don’t understand now. I’m looking for Fritzbox Powerline and I don’t know what to buy. There are those with a socket and one without. And I just don’t know which one is right or if I just need a single powerline.
Powerline is suboptimal. What speaks against the laying of a LAN cable?
tear walls? Something drastic, right? There are flat network cables that you can easily move. Drilling a hole in a wall is not a big act. There is usually no wall to tear in.
Well, if the router is in the hallway, I’m gonna be able to tear walls badly? And no I will not put routers in my room.
