WiFi connected but no internet?
Good morning,
I have changed my system i9 11900kf/4090 Aorus Master/ 32gb DDr4 ram to
Aorus B850 Elite Wifi 7 / AMD Ryzen 7 9800x3d/ 64 gbDDR5 Corsair Dominator.
Now I have the following problem with the WiFi:
It connects, sometimes it works but:
When the PC was in power saving mode and/or turned off, it tells me that it is connected to the WLAN, but I have no internet.
It's a problem with the DHCP.
I absolutely don't know what to do anymore.
When I restart the router it is connected again and I can access the Internet.
Power saving mode again, turn on, no internet!
All other devices (mobile phones, laptops) work without problems.
Bios drivers are fresh.
WLAN driver is fresh.
Does anyone here know anything about this?
I've reset everything several times, restarted the adapter, etc. Nothing helps!
It can't (actually) be the router's fault. Everything works great with the cable!
I don't know what to do anymore.
EDIT: Diagnostics always says: "No DHCP server was found"
“I’m in the court entrance – why isn’t there a highway?” 😉
The DHCP server (usually in the router) assigns an IP address to all necessities devices – as long as the user does not manually set up anything.
In principle, your statement means that your WLAN hardware has a problem getting its IP address from the DHCP server.
When I fly over the rest of your execution: Beautiful non-sense actionism. motto: main thing to do. 😉
First solution approach: Manually assigns a fixed IP address and DNS server address to the WLAN hardware. That should fix the problem.
I’ve spent hours with this shit. It just tricks me to waste my precious time with this shit. I like to go on to problems but with a 4000 Euro system no WLAN connection is already quite poor. This should actually be a self-runner, especially since IMMER has worked everything without problems.
My question: Can you handle the problem with a WLAN stick or WLAN card?
Hello, you can try the following:
Go to the device manager, right-click your Wi-Fi adapter under ‘network adapter’ and select ‘properties’.
Under the ‘Energy Management’ tab, the ‘Computer may turn off this device to save energy.’
Try this and see if it helps!
Servus, I’ve already tested. No success.
The router is set at which frequency, 2.5 gigahertz or 5 gigahertz. And on what frequency the WLan adapters in the PC?
if it doesn’t get anything, maybe another wlan card in the PC, or a WLAN stick.
