WiFi sticks just don’t work?
I really need your help, I don't know what to do anymore. I can't lay down a LAN cable and I have to use WLAN sticks. But none of them really work. I've tried four now, two from Fritz, a TP Link and an no-name one. All of the sticks keep disconnecting and reconnecting to the PC, and all of the sticks cause a high ping every few minutes. It's simply not possible to play smoothly. I've tried all the options in the settings and everything on the router, but nothing has helped. Now the big question, because I know nothing about hardware: is the internet that is sent from the stick to the motherboard via the USB cable simply not being processed? Is it possible that my motherboard or another part of my PC is responsible for this and the sticks are actually working? How can I determine this and what could be the cause?
I also had a computer with Windows 10 Pro. There was something in there. No matter which Wi-Fi sticks I have installed and plugged on, front or back, interruptions again and again. I also built a PCIe Wi-Fi card and still had problems with it after a few days. I had installed the Windows system myself and installed all the mainboard drivers and the graphics card driver correctly, nothing has helped. Also the repeated resetting of all network adapters to the factory settings is not!
After I reinstalled the system completely with Windows 10 Pro, there were no more errors! I then tested my entire wind farm in Wi-Fi sticks with it, so also three FritzWLAN sticks that worked by TP-Link, the by Hercules, the by Netgear and also the one from Hama – all without any problems, I sucked half the internet empty for testing 😉
So, secure your data, reset your system completely and then connect the best of the sticks.
Which motherboard do you have? Windows 10 or 11?
Thanks for the answer. I also have Windows 10 Pro and the motherboard is: Gigabyte GA-AX370-Gaming 3. I’m going to try everything again.
Why do you have to use a stick?
Build a smart PCIe card that can also set the antennas by external station and then can reach more than Wednesday nem Stick’chen
the possibility of powerline would also be given, but also those have trouble-taking pleasure and uncalculability factors
This should not be on the stick (which work or not) but on its
connection point,
Not hidden, at least one USB extension that takes him away from the computer, so not just hanging down. Better is a Wlan antenna.
Or by the way to the router.
Wlan has various disturbing influences.
There are 5 variants to get the signal better to the PC. (After school notes listed)
1 Lan cable
Yes I let it in because the statement I can’t put a Lan cable comes too fast without thinking about it.
is not beaten, Even the cheapest barbars have 2 grooves for cable guidance. There are now flat ones that fit into the door.
In laminate it becomes more difficult. There you have to drill An option are strong magnets that there are in about (5mm) a few of them in a thin slice of a string. on the other side also those. then pull the cable carefully through the hole, then close it behind and then furniture adhesive film. is a little frieze.
or horizontal along the ceiling or on the stairs.
Not all door frames are massively foamed. If a page goes out, then it’s behind.
Let it go upstairs. On a staircase you can trick a ed tape as safety light with motion detector over it. Or you put a knife plant and pull the cable straight up.
2 Accesspoint
They’ll get the signal over a Lan cable and then give Wlan out. Bring the signal to the computer. (e.g. to the next floor) This can also be an old router, a repeater, which must then be set up.

3 mesh

4 Dlan.
an adapter becomes a single one! plugged near the router and then gets the signal via Lan cable from the router. He sends this into the power grid of the second or more adapters then give you, no matter what power outlet from the house, Wlan.
It doesn’t always work. (here it is at point 4) but that it is an ingenious variant. You should try. Order adapter online, you have right to return.
5 repeaters.
Since normal, even the simplest speedports of Deutsche Telekom (some came from the A&V 20€) make good 12/13 m, most of them is pointless money.
Repeaters are often referred to as Wlan amplifiers in sale. That makes KD have little idea of matter, of course. You can’t strengthen the Wlan. German routers send full Wlan strength. Repeaters set up a new Wlan network. But what is problematic with simple repeaters.
You must
You’re moving the point of the show Wlan around approx. 3 meters that can work. when he sits on the door opening so that a wall passes
You got an apartment. Then come from the neighbors around Wlan and then the repeater comes to it. There is less Wlan strength than without repeater.
The idea of CatsEyes is already very good, but it can also be on the router.
You should try to assign a fixed IP to the stick instead of a dynamic one, both in the router and in the Wlan connection.
If Wi-Fi sticks are plugged in at the back of the PC, they are often “wonderful” radio-technically shielded, no matter what factory. My tip: Get a USB extension (50cm or 1m) and position the stick away from the computer panel and walls so that you can see it. You can also try out the best positions.
Update: WLAN behaves in a way like light, a lamp behind the PC does not illuminate the room as well as when it is freely visible. WLAN radio waves also behave, in particular the 5 GHz version.
Hey,
If the sticks simply do not want and a LAN connection is not possible, then I suggest using repeaters or building a mesh network.
Example setup with a Speedport Smart 4 from us and a Speed Home WLAN. The router also works as a mesh base on which the Speed Home WLAN device can access. You can set this up near your PC and connect it to the PC via LAN. If the signal strength is insufficient, you can add another Speed Home WLAN.
A comparable structure is also available with AVM devices. It is worth using all devices from the same manufacturer as possible because they are matched.
Best greetings and beautiful holidays wish

Can you use PowerLan? So Internet via the power grid in the house
