You can find fun, but it’s corrosive, because it just makes every device that wasn’t in the WLAN anymore and has to be re-registered.

Was funny once and change it back.

Earlier, when everyone had to program their router themselves (today the WLAN including password is already preset) we drove through the streets with laptop and made fun of renaming unsecured WLANs a la “open Internet for all!”, “unsafe connection” “here everyone can pure” etc.

To do this today would be hacking and punishable. At that time, it was just using ignorance. If you could have done a business out there and offer the unneededed help against cash.

What it’s supposed to do at home doesn’t open up to me. In the end, a new PW for the router and the Wi-Fi is used to separate a MAC filter that excludes your devices. Congratulations, Owner.

Why would that have been less punishable before?

Because you didn’t have to crack passwords. Everyone could connect to open Wi-Fi and go online, or just access the router.

Even if they knew… However, once changed the password to make it easier to register… Can you imagine what happened?

That’s just stupid, you can be creative when you name it, but you should first clarify it with all users before you just do something. You should have asked your parents for permission.
