Does Generation 7 Wi-Fi make sense?

I have a FRITZ!Box 7590 AX and a Xiaomi 13T Pro. If I had a new FRITZ!Box with Wi-Fi 7, how many Mbps would be possible in practice?

Is the range better with the new technology?

It makes sense for almost no. There usually go gigabit/s data rates, but almost no connection packs this and on the phone you rarely make so big downloads anyway. Best regards

When does WiFi 7 make sense?

An upgrade to Wi-Fi 7 can be more sensible in the future, if more devices support the new standard and there is a need for faster and more reliable connections.14.02.2024

Wifi 7 also improves the multi-user MIMO (MU-MIMO) – thus the router simultaneously exchanges data with several devices to increase the speed. It is really exciting with Multi-Link Operation (MLO): In this case, a terminal in a plurality of frequency bands is simultaneously connected to the router.
