With intramuscular injections, does a lot of fluid flow out after the cannula is removed?

Good morning!

If a little fluid leaks out after an intramuscular injection into the deltoid muscle, approximately how much is it? Does this happen often and is it negligible, or could it sometimes be a quarter or more of the injected fluid?

In my case, a little bit usually comes out again, but it's impossible to judge whether it was a lot or not.

Thanks!

No. There’s nothing going on.

I mean, it was once said that after injecting the needle you still keep in the position if the fabric does not spread out fast enough, and so cannot flow back because the needle is in the way.

But I don’t put my hand in the fire.

I’ve also read, but for a short time it means 30 seconds and I’ll do that. ^^

Do you have to leave them in forever (more minutes)?

I’m afraid everything will grow back to the needle and it will hurt when ripping out.
