Wishbone defective, warranty claim?
Hello everyone
The control arm on the VW Polo, first registered on December 7, 2020, is likely defective and will likely need to be replaced. Mileage: 23,000 km.
The vehicle was purchased from auto.de and apparently had a previous owner.
The following questions:
1. Would a defective control arm even be covered by the warranty? It's a wear part, but even after 23,000 km?
2. If the vehicle is resold through auto.de, does the VW factory warranty of 2 years also apply to the new purchaser?
3. On the auto.de purchase contract, under "Warranty," it says: B2C. The statutory regulations for liability for material defects apply when selling vehicles to end customers. What does this mean?
4. If the warranty is still valid, do I need to contact auto.de or a VW dealer?
Thank you very much for reading and maybe someone has answers.
Go to your dealer where you got the car, report it to him, and maybe he will do it
The crossbar is a wear part and is generally not subject to the warranty. After 23,000km, no crossbar is defective from itself – here either a large percussion hole has been triggered or has been driven against the curb.
Mine was also at approx. 20000 broken, but Hyundai. It's the bad roads we have. Is a wear part, so no warranty. Can try it both with the guarantee, maybe out of cunning, but don't think that they will take it.
