Windows key not working properly?
Hello friends,
Today I spilled some Vita Malt near my keyboard and since then, even though there was hardly anything on the keyboard, my Windows key has been cracked. It scrolls down, opens random programs and does whatever it wants. On top of that, other keys somehow open the start menu, which the Windows key doesn't do. I suspected that I had somehow pressed a key combination that was causing the problem. I couldn't find a solution online for a long time, so I reinstalled Windows 11. It still didn't work, so I connected an old keyboard, which worked without a problem.
Does anyone have any ideas what else I could do? Or how I can find out if my keyboard is broken?
Just be patient. This has to dry properly and can take a week.
Before replacing the keyboard, you can also add it to the dishwasher and let it dry again.
Good luck!
Are you kidding me?
No, I’m sure I’ll do it once a year with my keyboard. So far it’s always worked. But I don’t give a guarantee. Drying is important. Best on heating.
Be patient brings what, everything works again. Did you really calm me down?
Oh, thanks for the tip😊
