Windows Neuinstallation bei mit Veracrypt verschlüsseltem PC?
Hallo zusammen,
Kurz vorab:
ich wollte vorhin die Systempartition meines alten Computers mit Veracrypt verschlüsseln. Leider ist dieser während des Verschlüsselungs-Prozesses abgestürzt. Sodass ich nach einem Reboot und erfolgreicher Passwort Eingabe nur eine Fehlermeldung erhielt. Wie gesagt handelt es sich um einen alten Computer und die Daten wurden bereits im Vorfeld gesichert.
Meine Frage:
Könnte ich trotz der zum teil abgeschlossenen Systempartitionsverschlüsselung Windows neu installieren?
Falls ja, wie würde ich dies am besten anstellen? Bootfähigen USB Stick erstellen mit der aktuellen Windows Version drauf?
Falls ja, wo würde ich eine iso-Datei von Win11 erbekommen?
Ich hoffe der ein oder andere von euch kann mir bei meinem Problem helfen und danke euch schonmal vorab vielmals dafür.

Whether the hard disk is not, partially or completely encrypted, does not matter when making a flat and/or reinstalling. As long as the hard drive is detected quite normally and you can “boot” from a CD/DVD or the USB stick, you can install “new” normally. I don’t understand why you wanted to encrypt a disk when you’re editing it and/or reinstalling Windows? Or do you want to reinstall/clean because there was a problem?
In any case, it is and is actually not a problem.
You can either download the ISO file directly from Microsoft when it is offered by Microsoft. There is also a Microsoft Media Creation Tool that allows you to download Windows 11 and then prepare a disk. You can also use different websites (Chip, WinFuture, DeskModder, etc.) download a Windows 11 ISO directly. Then it’s up to you whether you’re burning the self- downloaded ISO file on a DVD or creating a USB stick using e.g. “Rufus”. Then restart the computer, when booting for example, press F8 to manually hit the boot selection, and select the DVD drive or the USB stick. Then the computer bootes directly from DVD or USB. The rest then goes comfortably over the Windows 11 setup.
The DVD/ USB stick should of course be large enough.
For larger operating system ISOs I use DVD-DL (8,5 GB) and 8GB USB sticks.
