Windows Mail not displaying text correctly?
Hello,
For a few days now, Windows (10) Mail has not been displaying the text of various emails correctly.
Control characters of this type are displayed:
@media only screen and (max-device-width: 480px), only screen and (max-width: 480px) {
.w320, *[class].w320 {width:320px !important; }
.w290, *[class].w290 {width:290px !important;}
.w17, *[class].w17 {width:17px !important;}
.h400, *[class].h400 {height:400px !important;}
Does anyone have a tip for how to fix this? The text is displayed correctly in the Samsung Mailing app on my smartphone.
LG and all the best
Yes
Hello JoSiemens!
This looks like the code of the so-called “responsive email design” (an HTML code) that is used to be able to read emails correctly on as many terminals as possible.
Why the Windows 10 email program has problems with this, I can’t tell you. I don’t use it.

I had it many years ago with mails sent from Mac OS. The above-copyed text came from Hermes shipping and was safely shipped automatically. Thanks for your answer – maybe another user has a tip. 🙂
