Windows Mail 2024 migration to Outlook?
Hello,
In 2024, Windows Mail was switched to Outlook.
However, when I want to access my mail account, it always says "Synchronize your IMAP account"
When I fill in my email details, the following message always appears at the end:
There was an error setting up this account. Try again. You may need an app password.
Am I the only one who has problems with this? Unfortunately, I can't find much about it on Google.
Since we have entered some emails on different PCs, it would be very good to find the error.
Or rather, I tried to enter a new email address, but unfortunately there was an error here too.

You should dispense with the use of the new Outlook app, it is a data protection CATASTROPHE.
This does not affect the Outlook program from the Office package.
Thank you – I can also click back to the old design that works too. But how long? It was called until 2024. Was peculiarly very satisfied with Windows Mail
As an alternative, you might want to look at Thunderbird once.
