Windows 11: Is there a way to save video or image files to two different drives at the same time?
When I save my pictures or videos, I would like to not only save them on my external hard drive – I would like to save them at the same time as my second backup – is this possible at the same time?
Not directly, only with circumstances.
For example, if you first set a RAID1 between two internally (!) internally installed panels (most of the gaming mainboards have a RAID controller meanwhile), the data are automatically mirrored on both panels. But not only copy that, also delete it! Thus, both plates have the same level.
Or you’re using the Robocopy tool. This can mirror data on the software side. If Windows is involved, you can only use it via command line. I use myself to mirror. I used to make a batch file that recognizes the plates and then starts mirroring. The advantage that Robocopy only copies what has changed or is new can, if you have set it as a parameter, also delete superfluous files. Robocopy is a very powerful tool when you’re busy. I run the batch manually as soon as I have connected the external plate. But it could also be time-controlled (all 15-60 minutes) with the Windows task planner, with a maximum of one running instance (can be set in the task planner). Then it would focus/mirror the files very quickly. There may be other tools mti graphical interface, but Robocopy is already integrated in Windows and does not need any extra installation.
Or you use a cloud, such as MagentaCloud from Telekom. If you use the app, all files are automatically synced to the cloud in a specially specified tree/path. So they’re always 1 times on your record, and 1 time in the cloud and thus almost secured. This happens completely by itself through the MagentaCloud app and does not have to be set extra.
What do you think of using a Raid 1 times?
This allows you to mirror on 2 plates, if you want one, you can use your data on the other until there is a replacement.
I don’t understand what you mean
Synchronize Google for rsync or folder. There are several apps that can sync the order.
