Windows 11 product key all at once?
I have reset my PC 10 times in the last few months and it was never a problem. I could always click on “I don’t have a product key” and still had all the features. Now I have a new motherboard and have to enter a key for whatever version I have, Home/Pro… I have no money and certainly not for Windows 11. I’m at a loss.
A Win10/11 license move to another motherboard/PC is not possible with a Win-OEM version that most of us have.
With a purchased full version (retail) this goes. It is, however, considerably more expensive in trade.
You’ll probably have to get a new Product Key (OEM).
It sounds like your previous installation of Windows was linked to your old motherboard through a digital license. When you change hardware, especially the motherboard, it can cause Windows to require reactivation. Normally, the license for Windows is tied to your device, and after a reset, you could still reinstall without needing a product key because it recognized the hardware.
However, now that you’ve installed a new motherboard, your PC no longer recognizes it as the same device, which is why you’re being prompted to enter a product key. Unfortunately, Windows will treat this as a “new device,” and you’ll need to activate it with a valid key.
Since you mentioned that you’re on a budget, one affordable option is to purchase a legitimate Windows 11 Pro key from This website at a discounted price. You can check it out here: Windows 11 Professional License Key.
Take 20€ in hand.
The hardware was not changed.
New motherboard = new sound card, new network interface, various other new devices that the previous board did not have…. A motherboard consists not only of a board, but brings a lot of components that are all recognized as individual devices…. And if too many devices are changed, this is a new PC for Windows, on which the key will be re-entered.
You already used a key with the old board. Then use it….. or have you reactivated it so often that it has been locked? Then only the telephone activation remains.
Larger hardware changes require a new activation.
If you don’t have money, don’t be right for Windows 11, then live with Windows 10, or older, or join free alternatives.
With Windows you don’t have to buy the supported version, for expensive money.
By switching the motherboard, your data stored with Microsoft no longer agree with those of your xPC, so Microsoft starts from a new system and requests the product key. You have two options:
I recently got my Windows 10 Pro key from 9XKEYand it worked perfectly! Activation was smooth and hassle-free. Highly recommend!
