Will you buy new hardware in October 2025 because your PC isn't Windows 11 capable, even though you don't need it in terms of performance?

The EoS for Win 10 is on October 14, 2024.

Yeah, and I have. I moved from a Xeon 1230v3 to a Ryzen 7600 a month ago. The Xeon did good services for 11 years and was still usable, so would not have changed.

Just because Win 12 was announced in October or Win 10 of the support does not mean that you should upgrade SOFORT to Win 11 or Win 12.

A good Pc professional that will continue to function well 2-3 months without security updates.
How often are such security-relevant updates coming? Maybe 1x a month, if at all.

Someone who clicks on every pop-up, as well as advertising etc. Sry, but there are no security updates.

But immediately switch to Windows 12 would be fatal in my eyes.
There will be so many bugs that you must expect xx many crashes etc.
From my side I will wait about 2-3 months and then switch to Win 12.
If you first use the Noobs and Wanted Könner, Windows 12 and send thousands of error messages to Microsoft, etc.
As with Win 10 and Win 11, daily big updates will come.

On Windows 10 the whole game was approx. 6 months so that it included errors… That didn’t go in a hat.

My tip would be to wait and read many reports whether Win 12 is stable or not.
Not to install any major update, because it has always been noticed that it always happens to be mistaken up to bluescreens.

So yes on my gaming PC I’ve had Windows 11 on it that supports it too. With my other PCs and VMs the Windows 11 did not support because I trickse stop. On each computer on Windows 10 running Windows 11.

I also hope that there will be more information in the summer or something like Win12-ready devices because I have more time and no desire to take care of it in the short term in autumn! I guess I’ll have to do it twice for my father…

Hello, seeosacko. 😊

I don’t have to worry about it, because my only access to the digital world is my phone. 😂😂😂

Have no Internet access.

Greetings, Renate. 😊

This is a good opportunity to replace my laptop purchased to support Windows XP.

I have Windows 11 almost since the first hour on my PC and laptops and therefore have no problems. This question is not asking me.
