Will there be a second part?

Hey, I'm currently writing a mafia love story.

The son of a mafia boss falls in love with a girl and thus "forgets" his duty as successor. Since the girl is about to be hidden and imprisoned, the boy wants to protect her with his life.

I was thinking about the two of them (the boy and the girl) going on the run. I just don't know whether I should put the escape in a second part or in the first.

What do you all mean?

If you do it well, you can get something exciting on the run and end the book with a cliff hanger and start the second part where the first part is finished.
